My Favorite Operating Systems

In my experience, I’ve used a lot of operating systems. Here are my three top favorites:

Third: Windows 10

Windows 10 is the second-to-latest version of Windows, the operating system made by Microsoft. It came preinstalled with my laptop, but I upgraded to Windows 11 October of last year.

Pros

  • Everything just works.
  • More secure than previous versions.
  • Good web browser.

Cons

  • Not as much command-line support.

Windows 11

Windows 11 is my main operating system nowadays. It has made a lot of changes. It’s made the icons more minimalistic, and everything is rounder.

Pros

  • More accessible.
  • More secure.

Cons

  • Some useful apps have been removed.
  • Strict hardware requirements.

Kali Linux

Kali Linux isn’t your usual operating system. It’s built for penetration testing, which is testing the security of a computer or network.

Pros

  • Dynamic and minimalistic interface.

Cons

  • Penetration testing tools can be too complicated for the average user.
  • Main focus is very specialized.
